The short-term success of the quadcopter left us looking for ways to get aerial shots at the Mazing Case course using the equipment we had on hand. We did have working motors from prior Mazing Case implementations so decided to make a DIY FlyLine system.
It works very similar to the Mazing Case. The lines run from the pulley at the motor, up around a pulley at the top of the shed, through the air across the field, to another pulley, and back again. Instead of a flag, we mounted two GoPros so that they each criss-crossed along the path.
The video shows it all! take a look! And keep an eye out on this page for future improvements.
